Veterinarians are required to follow Queensland Health regulations when prescribing and dispensing medications. We must comply with these laws when dispensing medications.

  • Your pet must have been assessed by a veterinarian within the last 6 months. If not, a recheck appointment is required by law.
  • In some cases, more frequent assessments or tests (e.g., blood or urine) may be needed.
  • In many cases, there are limits on the quantity of medication we can supply.
  • Allow 2 business days for medication preparation. Some medications may take longer if specially ordered or compounded.
  • If you need a written prescription, please call the clinic. A fee applies for written prescriptions.
  • If the requested medication differs from our records or was prescribed by another clinic, an exam may be required.
  • We will notify you by text when your medication is ready. If you prefer another contact method, please specify in the notes.
  • A veterinarian may contact you should we require further information.
