Although having grown up in vet clinics with many members her my family in the industry, Jacqui began her professional career as a teacher. After doing this for a while, she realised that while teaching was great, animals and medicine were her passion. So, she decided to put the three together and studied to become a vet nurse!

Her special interests as a vet nurse include anaesthesia, nutrition, dentistry and client education/communication. Her skills as a teacher help her to assist clients to understand the best ways they can care for their own pet/s. She also enjoys helping train student and more junior nurses. Relationships with clients and getting to help provide the very best care to see them grow into healthy and happy pets is what motivates her to come to work each day.

Jacqui is also the Puppy Preschool coordinator and teacher here at Ashgrove Vet. She has a passion for helping new owners to understand how to best prepare their puppies for an amazing life ahead as well as seeing them grow into healthy adults.

At home she has a horse called Kingi who she dotes upon and this is where you will often find her on weekends if she’s not out adventuring with her partner.
